Materials Coordinator

NVR is looking for intelligent, highly motivated, positive, results-oriented employees to join our new Virginia Manufacturing Plant. You will have the opportunity to participate in the start-up of our newest facility. This position requires an initial offsite training period of approximately 4 weeks in our Thurmont, Maryland facility. You will receive one-on-one training from our subject matter experts. You will have the opportunity to interact with our Building Products group to better understand the position, as well as develop relationships. Further details on the training program will be provided during the interview process.

As a Materials Coordinator, your job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate local plant materials activities and communicate with the NVR Building Products purchasing group on material balances, backorder prevention, inventory turns, proper material usage, miscellaneous material metrics, returns program and physical inventories.
Purchase MRO items, packaging, office supplies, and plant specific material accounts.
Prepare, process and file allocations, field returns, and acknowledgements.
Track and report inbound shipments and plant-to-plant transfer statuses.
Maintain tracking reports for plant spending and other financial information.
Prepare daily reports for purchasing management and ensure timely communication.
Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned and cross-train in other departments.
Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent planning and organizational abilities
High energy and ability to multi-task
Ability to adapt to changing demands
Reliability and initiative to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, professional team environment
Willingness to cross train within the office
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
